A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies the results. Milwaukee Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those search terms on its own servers. When you contact us, we receive the details included in your message and use them to respond.

Routine hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, page request, and time. Aggregate use of these logs helps maintain security, diagnose faults, and understand which resources are useful. Basic analytics and advertising measurement may rely on cookies or related technology where those services apply.

The project research supplies no broad Wisconsin omnibus consumer-privacy statute, so this policy does not claim rights beyond laws that apply to a particular request. We will search the contact mailbox and relevant logs when a request is received and remove information where appropriate. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Wisconsin, Milwaukee County, or City of Milwaukee offices remain under the custodian's control. Access to those government records is governed in part by the Wisconsin Public Records Law, Wis. Stat. ยงยง 19.31-19.39; correction, confidentiality, and removal questions must go to the agency that keeps the record.
